Consumer Guarantees Act 1993
The Consumer Guarantees Act essentially protects consumers (your customers) from purchasing inferior goods, and sets standards for guarantees you must offer your customers.  This article from the EMA is a nice summary, and a must-read!

Privacy Act 1993
The Privacy Act essentially protects the use/misuse of information about individuals.  A Wellington-based law firm at the given link provides a nice summary. 

Employment Relations Act 2000
This article briefly explains the act, and details your requirements as an employer.  This includes subsections on 'good faith', employment agreements, offering employment and bargaining.
